Dem Beruf sei schuld, dass ich für 3 Monate zum arbeiten nach England gehen darf. Its such easier to switch into English language when you hear and speak it all day and now also my phone is an English one with uk-keyboard. So, its almost complicated to switch back to another language, that’s causes now it’s English time 🙂
Typical English – about cliches
Once I want to clean up some cliches of English people. Yes, I’m such 3 days here but there are some so funny things are different to German (or the rest of the world) that you catch just directly, for example: Hardened to cold: So, yes, it’s right that English people live like it’s summer time all year. It’s April, there are 6 degrees in the morning outside and a lot of People wearing shorts and t-shirts! I read it already before coming to uk… Now I can sign it. An other one is: Pub for party evening. Almost they coming from work (and had almost a long way home) and go in a pub for a pint. Standing on the bar (no service for order), talking or chatting and going home after 1 hours. I think now they do it (also with their colleges), because at work is work and they are working straight, concentrated and focussed. I really like it – the pub tradition and the way of working. Friendliness – oh, they are soooo friendly, all the time, every where, and in a authentic way, that’s just nice. Every time you hear „sorry“, all are helpful, all are just friendly, that’s really amazing. One things isn’t right: a lot of things are expensive, but healthy things aren’t. It’s just cheap to buy something in Tesco and a lot of things, like vegetables and fruits you can buy in small single-sizes for an good value price. Great. So that’s enough praise for beginning. I’m waiting for the waste side of Englishman 😉
